Pros

The mission of Enriching Women’s Lives was very real to me and seemed so for others. It always motivated me to be the best that I could at my job since that was my contribution toward helping members of the independent sales force build their businesses and support heir families. I miss that. Corporate pay and benefits are very competitive and seem above average in some functions. Very nice office areas. Enjoyed employee picnics and thoughtful considerations (e.g. fun events in atrium or cafeteria).

Cons

Like anywhere, one’s Manager can make or break the employee experience. Leadership effectiveness varies greatly, even within departments. I’ve seen good employees leave or even be let go when the problem was further up the hierarchy.

Pros

Mary Kay does have a good culture and a strong foundation. Their benefits are the best including profit sharing and bonuses tied to performance.

Cons

Not all departments get the culture right. The speak the speak but don't walk the walk.
