      Mastec needs to make changes to satellite side of business

      Pros

      You get a nice phone, good training, and a job. If you work close to home you are lucky.

      Cons

      $40 a week to take truck home, payroll deductions if a customer you serviced has a problem (most of the time not your fault) in 90days. Paid by the job but sometimes you drive 4+ hours a day once they know you been there for a while and won't just quit. MasTec sells but does not provide drill, inclinometer, light equipment, shovel, post digger, respirators.

      Pros

      This position with Mastec is home dispatched which saves you on your commute. It also provides several opportunities for advancement after six months in your current position.

      Cons

      The down side to this position is there is no work life balance so if you have a family you will rarely see them. They also don't hire to demands of the work so you will always be short in coverage,

      Great job if they had decent management

      Cons

      Management only cares about how many jobs you do per day. They preach safety constantly but are the biggest hypocrites ever! Micromanaging is insane. Spend more time doing all of the unnecessary things they want you to do than you spend on the job. If you don’t like working 24/7 and can never be sick or take a day off this is definitely not the place for you! Techs work constantly while managers sit at their house in the air 8 to 5 criticizing all the techs that don’t want to work a hundred hours per week!! Don’t go 1 mile over the speed limit or they will be calling you! Every single person in management is pathetic from the top to bottom!!
