IS department is wildly inconsistent. No real org-wide culture. Huge company with absentee bosses can leave you feeling adrift. If you land on a strong team with a good leader, you can have a great experience. But the IS org is still based on the old model of "it's all who you know".

Decision making is left to those with business degrees and no experience in direct patient care or very little experience a Long time ago. Continue to ask their Healthcare workers to do more and provide less support. They are financially not doing well and yet again in healthcare the burden falls to those directly working with patients. There are so many levels of admin and project managers that overlap in the jobs they do and change takes way too long. If you are in direct patient care, Be wary of the glowing reviews because most are not coming from those in direct patient care, they are coming from other departments who may have a different experience. I worry for the future of their healthcare providers. Many are leaving and they continue to burn them out.
