      Good people working for a great cause

      Pros

      Very international group of coworkers. The hospital is affiliated with Harvard University and attracts top talent from all over the world. Coworkers were competent and very outgoing. Definitely an eyeopening experience for me.

      Mediocre cafeteria, winters are cold!

      Lots of exposure to multiple asset classes and investment strategies and face-time with some of the most respected portfolio managers in the business.

      Cons

      Very little autonomy in your work with all decisions ultimately being made by external investment committee and very limited hard/software resources.

      Option to have up to 5 weeks time off, plus 10 holidays. Good work/life balance and job security.

      Cons

      Many senior managers do not know how to manage, and their bosses are off-site. This results in some bad seeds abusing and disrespecting their team.
