Pros
I spent many years in financial planning. Mass Mutual and other insurance companies in general are a joke and take advantage of client ignorance. AVOID.
Cons
Despite what a manager or recruiter will say, you will not own your business. You will sell insurance products they want pushed and expect their quota to be met. This is not financial planning. This is not helping people. You and your clients will suffer by affiliating with Mass Mutual. Their sales quota are determined by LADL sales (life, annuity, disability, long-term care). If you actually want to help people, work with an independent broker-dealer or RIA.
