Pros

They value work life balance. Best employer in the state of Missouri.

Cons

Glacial promotions if ever. No advancement outside of O'Fallon Missouri. Very conservative and not innovative. 3 years behind the state of the art. Bonus is title based. Will not receive a penny more if you outperform. Evaluations are incredibly subjective. H1-B slaveship.

Pros

Mastercard has great work life balance, flexible hybrid policy, great PTO even at junior levels, lots of opportunities for lateral movement, education stipend. Overall a great place to work, very comfortable.

Cons

Pay is low relative to other tech companies, but of course, high compared to the average US income. The company is incredibly bloated in the middle, with most of the company consisting of Directors and limited opportunities to advance beyond that. T&E is extremely limited, with many teams never having met in person across offices. The company could move quicker and be more innovative.

Cons

EVP leadership has gone toxic and it has started to stink now. Suck up to your bosses for promotions, performance rating does not matter Toxicity has started to drill down to people who are actually doing the ground work. You are just a number to them. Layoffs are very discreet, only to inflate share prices and EVP's can take a big fat chunk of bonuses.
