Pros

Mastercard overall is good to work for, they pay well with good benefits. Good vacation time and 401k match as well as allowing hybrid working.

Cons

They require 3 days/ week in office with no flexibility on that requirement. They track badge swipes which does not create a good environment. The office environment is very bad. The parking is a limited, the desks are so close you could touch the person sitting next to you, and they are extremely loud because they pack so many people into such a small space. Additionally, there is no assigned seating so you are often left searching for a desk and hoping you find one with working monitors, keyboard, etc. Additionally, you are often left sitting by complete strangers which tends to defeat the point of coming into office.

Pros

It's very profitable company. Stable business. Good benefits.

Cons

Don't think your job is safe because company's business is stable and doing well. It has nothing do to with your job security. Over the past year, this company has been the one where I have seen the most frequent and quietest layoffs compared to any other place I have worked at, and it seems likely to get worse in the future.

Too political

Pros

Fair pay and benefits Good brand name

Cons

Company culture is way too political and hierarchical. Multiple teams doing the same job. Constant re-orgs and silent firings that are very disruptive. Mandatory RTO in the pretense of younger workers needing more facetime to grow. However, the company is so global that you come to the office and spend 90% of your time on Teams.
