They will fire anybody for upsetting the CEO

Pros

Pay is decent but also in line for industry

Cons

joe (the ceo) has fired people for forgetting coasters, forgetting notepads, not apologizing the way he wants them to, being pregnant, getting covid, to make room to hire sons of men he knows, to hire men from his alma mater, because they took a long lunch with their boss, because they wouldn’t work 10 hour days 10 days in a row and needed a Sunday afternoon off, and many many more reasons that have nothing to do with work performance. These are just off of the top my head. On your first day here people will talk about Joe’s rules and how to not rock the boat. They involve anecdotal warnings that seek fake and are absolutely true. It’s a truly toxic place to work and is led by an egomaniac.

Pros

The company is stable and reliable which is hard to find in this industry. Even in the pandemic I never thought I would lose my job. Providing for my family is the most important thing to me and I can do that here. Other than that it’s a younger work force. All the people are smart. I don’t have any issues with management. I read some of the previous reviews and was surprised by some of the negative ones. I have not had that experience. When I read them a second time I realized they are all probably by the same person. They all follow the same outline. Complain about the ceo, complain about covid response, complain about middle management being scared of ceo, and that’s pretty much it. The company is doing well and pay is good. I wouldn’t trust the very negative repetitive reviews on here when deciding if this is a good place to work. They are almost certainly by the same person.

Cons

I can’t think of any at this time. I have a good paying reliable job so I am happy.

Pros

Good pay, separate offices, and good benefits.

Cons

The problems exist, and will continue to exist, because they all come from the CEO himself. No one that works here is trusted in any capacity to operate as an adult. We all get treated like children who can’t make our own decisions. Covid has made a lot of these issues more apparent. We have to seek permission from the executive committee just to be able to travel, go to weddings, funerals, etc while all of the executives still go on their hunting trips and attend their family gatherings with no issues. It’s very do as I say and not as I do. We have been given no safe options during covid (working from home, staggered schedules, etc.). Even when the snow storm hit in February and the power was going out, Joe still wanted us to come in and work! They say everything is for employee benefit but it’s certainly not. Working here will certainly put you in a pair of golden handcuffs. They look nice but you’re still chained to an incredibly toxic environment that prides itself on 1950s management culture and bowing down to a man that should not be in a position of power.
