      Pros

      Absolutely love it at Matador! So many wonderful employees. Great work life balance. Management and the CEO know me by name. They go out of their way to ask me about my life and how my family is doing. There’s lots of diversity. People from all walks of life. I thought Covid was handled really well. Contact tracing was in place and protocols were followed very closely. The pay, health care, benefits, and company stock price are all above the rest of the industry.

      Cons

      Once a quarter there’s one week that has a high work load and is more stressful than the others but that’s hardly a downside.

      Pros

      Strong performance through Covid with excellent safety record. I work with the drilling team and new records are being set almost every week in the Permian by Matador. The company has found new ways to reduce cost and its really starting to pay off. The culture can be a challenge but as long as you play by the rules its a great company to work for. My advice is to be a team player and dont have an attitude or be self centered and difficult to work with and you will do just fine. High 401k matching, good pay and benefits. Free parking and catered food often.
