Pros

Annual reviews are a joke - EVERYBODY receives a bonus Free snacks, drinks and liquor

Cons

They lie to get you in the door Management has no business being in their positions. They are subject matter experts, not management Management is not inspirational and they play games Sink or swim mentality, so there is no help to get you out of a hole or to the next level They treat their employees like children They play games with the contract employees in other countries, and fire them for nothing They use reorg as a way of not dealing with solvable issues

Pros

I largely worked remotely. So it's hard to say office wise but here goes. From my impression if you live in Dallas this is probably one of the best tech jobs in the area. The office is modern and central. Fantastic office perks like food everywhere ping pong, coffee and teams of good people to work with. Interesting work is happening throughout. Engineering talent is strong.

Cons

If you are not promoted you likely will never see a dime of a raise. Performance reviews are for show. Little career development in my opinion. There was little growth on my team so no where to move to, but not all jobs are forever jobs. What I learned here put me in a great position for my future elsewhere. No hard feelings of course. Also in the past I'd say the product was geared more towards revenue growth with less concern on serving customers. That focus has shifted positively with new management. In the past teams like marketing would try to drive products that were half baked and there would be push back from other teams leading to politics and failed cancelled projects. New management seems to have their stuff together now. Final negative is Match inter brand canibalism of business. Match group continues to buy competing brands and seems to invest in Tinder and other new brands while match is more of an afterthought.
