Pros

Great company culture, very nice and smart people, and in the HQ in Natick everyone gets their own lushly appointed office. The products are meaningful, impactful, and easy to "believe" in. Free lunch and breakfast.

Cons

Lots of archaic and time-consuming processes. Concensus-driven culture and lots of rounds of review ensures everything that makes it out the door is fully baked, but also slows everything else. Vacation time inadequate vs. most Tech companies - they start all new hires at 15 PTO + 3 floaters. Engineering/IT backgrounds are prized highly here - even for business jobs - so if you don't have one, prepare to be paid less than market value.

Pros

Mathworks really cares about its employees. You can easily see that with the perks provided. Work culture is great. Rarely anyone works more than 40 hours. You are constantly surrounded by really smart people.

Cons

Salary may not be as high as Meta, Google, etc.
