Pace of change can be slow for some -- those who want a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture wont find it here (we measure twice, cut once) Other companies may offer higher salaries (but MathWorks history of success helps increase compensation through stakeholder bonuses)

Hierarchy of company allows for the network of managers to protect each other and perpetuate toxic culture. There's a big focus on process for many parts of the company, but not in terms of recourse for managers abusing their power. Very against remote work, and resisted it through COVID.
