Pros

at least at my center, it is very light work and relatively well-staffed. i've very rarely finished a shift feeling bad about the work, and it's overall rewarding work when the kids understand your explanations. got me interested in the teaching field.

Cons

classic case of managers asking if you can come in on days you marked unavailable as a "last resort" or kids that refuse to do their work. maybe a little slow on raises but truthfully a great job.

I loved working here.

Pros

Great environment, I felt that management was accessible to me, I had great relationships with the students and coworkers, and this job made me want to become a teacher.

Cons

For what the company was making, they could have paid tutors better. However it was mostly high schoolers working there so with that in mind not bad pay!

Pros

It was fun to work with the kids Support from coworkers

Cons

Overbearing management Too heavy of a focus on kids getting higher numbers than their experience Low pay Instructors are held to a higher standard than they’re paid for Events are meant to substitute instructors having connections with the kids but are out of touch
