There are a lot of opportunities to be creative with your job. In addition, the hours are very flexible. It is a lot of fun working with the kids and you feel as if you're making a very real impact in their lives.

Cons

It's hard to think of cons to working at the Mathnasium other than a lack of upward mobility as a result of the small company.

The atmosphere is great, The work is rewarding, The shifts are not extremely long, You learn teaching and communication skills, It's fun to assess a student's skills and see what's right for them

Cons

The compensation is okay, Private tutors make much more, Kids can be very difficult to motivate, Sometimes it seems like you are doing a lot of work while other instructors aren't

it is not a stressful job if you like to work with kids and enjoy teaching math. friendly environment, easy to get along with co-worker

Cons

working hour. usually 3-8 or 9 since kids go to school during the day. and depending on the center, might have to work weekends.
