Pros

Nice sunglasses, one of the best optical labs in the world and great customer service. Dating co-workers or employees is encouraged.

Cons

Micro-management has lost focus. Sales are declining. Losing largest accounts. Increasing focus on CostCo, Vision Works and Academy Sports. All white HR department. Drastic cuts to sales force commission.

Pros

Although my internship with Maui Jim lasted less than a year, the culture and environment were extremely friendly and welcoming, and my department helped me gain valuable skills relevant to my career.

Cons

The nature of my internship (I was traveling extensively) demanded long hours but was very rewarding. The majority of their positions offer stability but those wishing to be interns must have tremendous flexibility.

Pros

Maui Jim is an AMAZING company to work for. Many perks and they treat the employees well. Extensive training and orientation as well.

Cons

If you enter in at entry level, it isn't the easiest to move or promote up.
