Pros

With no official hybrid working policy, you can work remotely quite often.

Cons

K&G used to be a great place to work, but that changed after its acquisition. Maverik appears to focus solely on keeping the business operational, with no forward-looking vision, particularly in predictive analytics. Their primary interest lies in dashboards and visualizations, leaving them significantly behind in the analytics field. As an analyst, you're expected to follow orders without question, even at senior levels. Roles are assigned based on specific business needs rather than individual interests or skill levels, resulting in a lot of simple tasks and few opportunities for larger projects. K&G once offered excellent benefits, but the transition to Maverik has led to cuts in PTO and other benefits. Maverik seems unprepared for the fierce competition K&G faces in the Midwest, relying on their brand name alone to succeed. Management is hesitant to implement changes and lacks transparency, often resorting to lies followed by apologies. There's a culture of bypassing direct communication, with issues frequently escalated to higher-ups. Management tends to be patronizing and dismissive of suggestions for improvement. Moreover, Maverik is laying off top employees and showing a clear preference for the SLC team members. While it might be a reasonable workplace in SLC, I would strongly advise against joining if you're based in DSM.
