      Loved the people I worked with as well as the management.

      The start-up of the program was completely disorganized and the supports were not there adequately support the people we served.

      Pros

      It's a great place for someone to start building their experience and skill set. You can meet genuinely passionate people who want to do well.

      Cons

      It may not be too difficult for entry level staff to advance with growth opportunities, however, professional development is not readily available. There is a perception that being too good at a job will hold you back.

      Pros

      The people in my little slice of this company all know what they're doing -- they're innovative and open to new ideas. I was with PSI when it was acquired by Maximus, and the difference is like night and day. Instead of trying to meet a budget by cutting costs (the PSI method), they want to meet a budget by making money. And they are all about ethics.

      Cons

      As with any large corporation, there is sometimes a lack of individuality, and there's a structural hierarchy to be followed, but that's the nature of the beast.
