      Melting pot of cultures, hindered by low pay and no room for growth

      Pros

      People of various cultural backgrounds working together, management tries to accomodate needs of employees in regards to education or personal time off. Friendly employees who generally share in good rapport with one another.

      Cons

      Low pay for industry standards. Can be extremely stressful due to the requirements of the job. Very little opportunity for vertical career mobility. Very low raises awarded after each year in the job.

      Little support from corporate for Site Project Managers

      Pros

      Provide good benefits and opportunity to have a positive impact or the lives of people in the local community.

      Cons

      Lttle support from corporate on new projects. New project managers and supervisors are left on their own to implement new processes and train new hires. Many supervisors promoted to position without supplying them with adequate training on how to be a supervisor. Thus they overloaded themselves with work that should have been conducted by their subordinates. Resulting in project objectives not being met according to contract requirements. That is when corporate decided that the project needed help. Resulting in forcing employees to quite and terminations of employees that didn't really have a chance. I could not stand to watch.

      Pros

      MAXIMUS as a whole is a good company but the Tax Credit Project is terrible!!!!!!

      Cons

      Shows favoritism and there is not growth opportunies. Management does not communicate well with staff. Does not put the client interest first. Always cutting corners to solve problems.
