      Great people, poor Senior Management, salary below industry

      Pros

      Good mission, great teams and company culture, good amount of vacation time, good work/life balance.

      Cons

      Pay was too low given the bonus and stock options are inadequate. Company signed up for too many ventures without hiring more people and priorities were shifting constantly to the new shiny toy. Not a lot of opportunity to advance past a certain point.

      Pros

      Everyone was really smart. Loved that they were remote work friendly. Out of my career, this was the role where I feel I learned the most so far. I have been able to take my experience since and take it into other AI roles. Probably the first company where I felt compensated correctly. The head of the department was cool and talked to me about my pay. The campus was lively, everyone was really collaborative and I have kept in touch with many of my old friends there. The technology was probably the best part of the company.

      Cons

      Management needed assistance in setting a direction and sticking to it. I remember it being really hard to get excited about projects knowing that I may be pulled off of it to do some other 'also now important' work. I've heard things are getting better but I've also heard the opposite too so, yeah. Managers are excited about the product though and really get behind the technology.
