      Great company, employee owned, and very talented co-workers. McCarthy provides field operations staff with all the tools necessary to do their job efficiently.

      Cons

      PM's lead the job; Superintendents take a back seat to PM's and report to them instead of being partners on an equal playing field.

      My strengths are seen and a job was built around them for me.

      There is no career path for Admins, no matter how great you are, without a degree in construction management they will never move you up.

      Pros

      Been with McCarthy for 4 years as an Intern & Project Engineer full time. No one can beat the benefits of this company. If you can stick it out to retirement with McCarthy, you will be wealthy.

      Cons

      Work life balance is poor. To excel you need to build a close relationship with your upper management, it is not effort related as much as I'd like it to be. Guess you have to brown nose a little bit.
