      Great people - fun-loving and knowledgeable; projects are very challenging and interesting

      Cons

      Depending on your role, there may be a lot of travel involved; work days range from 9-12 hours depending on the project

      Employee owned, great people, direct managers are great, projects are interesting (not highly replicated like a hotel)

      departments don't work well together, pre-con doesn't coordinate with operations and no one knows what design management is actually doing

      Pros

      One of the best builders in the nation operationally. Also one of the safest due to an outstanding safety culture.

      Cons

      Upper management preaches about creating a great work life balance but this balance is impossible with the amount of hours that you work. Most of the folks that built the Southern California division into what it is today are no longer with the company either. The new wave of leadership is unproven and seems out of touch with their field staffs. Too much upper management. The number of VP's and Directors continues to grow, while experienced field staff continues to leave the company.
