Pros

Currently good for transport drivers.

Cons

Automation and outsourcing of resources to cut costs is heavily focused on. Management makes poor and uneducated decisions using unknowledgeable people based upon their position in the management hierarchy instead their knowledge and abilities. Teams are not empowered to make their decisions but our absolutely responsible to supporting the decisions of others 24x7. Conflicting messages from management. Told to not wait on people and take initiative but then told to not reach out for feedback but wait on the proper communication channels. Policies affecting 99% of the employees are based upon managing transport drivers. Software development process changes increasingly add obstacles to the process instead of removing or automating them to improve quality, turn around times, and team moral. Management does not take the time to discuss issues raised by their reports when raised but pushes them off until some possible future date. Management does not know or take the time to learn the software their teams currently support. Travel policy needs to be updated. Does not take into account inflation over the past decade. You could expense one decent meal a day in some cities.

Pros

These days, they are fewer and fewer. Insurance benefits are good.

Cons

Very physical. Long hours. 401 match has been on a steady downward slope. Our recent management regime is focused on numbers and have placed a huge amount of time into finding ways not to pay it's drivers. The number of people leaving the position is growing by the minute. When I started here, this was a job that people wanted. Now we are losing guys with 10-15 year tenure because they feel underappreciated and undervalued.

Pros

Great benefits, good pay and awesome teammates

Cons

Local upper management has no trust in their teammates. They micro manage every little detail. They talk down to the teammates and supervisor. The high turnover will continue until the upper management is rotated out at the Findlay DC. BEWARE of working at the DC.
