Pros

Its a great job if you're in school, but do not expect a career out of it if you are a driver. They work with your schedule, supervisor are pretty helpful and some really care about the drivers which i appreciate a lot. Good dental, vision, and medical, and 2 weeks vacation for full time employees. 1 week for part time. The job is super easy and laid back. Scanner is really easy to learn. And you're are pretty much your own boss when you're driving.

Cons

okay the cons, here we go. So first i will talk about dispatch, You will have a love, hate relationship with them, but mostly hate. They throw jobs at u sometimes that are not even near your route, they do not realize that some of your stops on your scheduled have late times, and when you throw in stops(we called them same-days, which are stops that are added that day that are not apart of your scheduled stops you do everyday) that have the same closing times but both are in the completely opposite ends of the worlds, and you still got more stops to go in between, and you try calling dispatch back to explain how its completely impossible for me to make it to that stop, but cant comprehend as to why i cant do it, and try to explain to me that i can make it, when they are in a whole different state and rely on a computer to tell them everything which constantly has to be maintenance and fixed, so then u just agree at that point and hang up and call your supervisor which 90% of the time, they will work with you instead of dispatch since they know how screwed up they are sometimes. Second, and last thing. PAY. We start out at 11 dollars an hour. While other medical courier driver(DMC, Beaumont, quest, etc..) Start out at 15 dollars. To be honest, when i first applied to this job, i didnt know 11 dollars was way to low for what we do. But when the competition starts out at 15, it really puts medspeeds driver down for being super underpaid. And we have a high turn over rate because of it, I think this company has a fantastic atmosphere, and great co-workers and supervisors, but if u want to succeed and destroy the competition, you seriously gotta pay your workers right, or they wont give you the 100% because why should they when they do not feel appreciated for not getting paid what they deserve.

Pros

Great upper management, very friendly. Laid back department, allowing you to present projects and work at your own pace.

Cons

Very strict programs that are a bit faulty. If you want to get something done, you have to be headstrong about it.

Pros

Great place to work if you are or do any combination of the following: 1. male 2. white 3. under 40 4. play golf 5. play basketball 6. play soccer Extra bonus points if you meet all of the above criteria. Pass go, collect 200. Several times over, your prerogative.

Cons

Everybody else, don't bother. You won't make it too far in this company and when you find yourself wondering why, then you weren't paying attention to the list up above.
