Oh, so many. Most people at the director level and higher are two, or more, rungs higher on the ladder than they should be based on their experience and talent. The company bought into the hype, believing that the massive influx in VC meant that they knew what they were doing, when in fact they were a shiny object at a time when investors had cash to burn. Too many execs come from a consulting background and have never faced the challenges of what happens "after the engagement ends." Since mid-2021 they have initiated at least three major "paradigm shifts" that were supposed to thrust the company into the future, none of which succeeded and all of which were abandoned in short order. Basically, they don't know what to do, and if they did, they wouldn't know how to do it. There are lots of smart, smart people around, including in the exec ranks, but they're not pulling on the right ropes. They don't even know what ropes to pull on.
