Hi there! I appreciate your very thoughtful review – thank you for taking the time to write it. We take pride in our people; they set us apart from other companies and truly make coming to work fun each day! We have several different committees who put on events for our people, and to be honest, I think there are more events than EVER!! From our Mingles team who plans social events, to our Fit team who plans health/wellness related events, to Book Club, to Speaker Series, to the Mother’s Club, to the Green Team, to the Writing Club, to basketball games and lunch and early morning tee times – not to mention our monthly cocktail hours, Holiday Gala, Summer Party, team outings and Mayhem – there is some type of event for everyone not matter where your interests lie. Don’t see something you’re interested in? We encourage our people to start their own thing!
Work/life balance – yes, they keyword here is balance! Everyone has a different definition of what work/life balance means, but we operate with the mindset of work gets in the way of life, and sometimes life gets in the way of work. Take the time you need to ‘do what you have to do!’
Part of who we are as a sales organization, is competitive and driven – while you may feel our revenue goal for the next 3-5years is ambitious, we have set that goal because of our past achievements and because we truly believe that we have a great team in place to do it – we all win together! As you stated above, Medicus is most certainly going through a growth phase which creates ample opportunity for anyone, at any stage in their career. I’m sorry that you felt otherwise, but I can assure you that helping people advance in their careers is something that is constantly at the forefront of the management team’s mind. As it relates to compensation, our Finance team regularly does analysis to ensure we are providing competitive compensation packages – I know this is being reviewed again this coming quarter in preparation for the new year.
In regards to the CRM, you are correct – our in-house platform that the recruitment and business partner teams use may have gotten us to where we are today, but we are excited to be moving the entire organization to a shared platform that builds on the Salesforce technology our Business Development team works out of. We have a great team working very hard to implement this new product and we look forward to taking full advantage!
Medicus is a fast-paced, metrics driven sales organization. This isn’t a fit for everyone, which in turn leads to turnover. Our management team works very hard to ensure our employees have the support they need to succeed.
Lastly, recognition. While it is true that we recognize the top ten in sales and recruiting at our monthly cocktail hours, we also do a number of things to recognize our people who aren’t in traditional “sales” roles or are just getting started in the careers here. There’s a rookie of the month award, business partner of the month award, and team awards for both production and business partners. Additionally, individual teams hold regular meetings to celebrate each other and their accomplishments in their own way. Each department does something different, that speaks to their unique personalities, but to give you some examples: weekly MVP, Unsung Hero Award, Superhero of the Week Award – just to name a few.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We operate under a continuous improvement mindset and are always striving to do better. If there is anything you’d like to discuss with me at greater length, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Best, Jillian Granucci, Program Manager, 603-952-2802, jgranucci@medicushcs.com
