Environment is friendly clients are really cool coworkers are mostly friendly and tolerable

Cons

Management is a joke. No benefits. Hardly any time off only have Wednesday’s and Sunday’s off working most holidays. Company’s only closed 4-5 days a year IF that. Pay is not what it should be.

Pros

Medifast is a great place to grow: find your counseling style, learn to work efficiently in a pseudo-clinic setting, and garner solid counseling/nutrition experience. Management is supportive and truly wants to see you grow.

Cons

Management was constantly changing at the time of my hire. The manager that hired me left a month later, we were in limbo while the next one was being interviewed (they at least hired from within), and then the new manager + new assistant manager (also hired within) took some time to solidify what they wanted from the counselors. While not completely their fault, it was hard to meet their needs and morale dropped for some time. Work/life balance is lacking as you work different hours every day and only have Wednesdays and Sundays off. It was hard to even consider taking a vacation because of the weekly appointments you had with a 40+ client load. I felt like I was selling products to clients instead of actually counseling them to long-term health goals. In the end, the pay wasn't worth it.
