Pros

- They pay weekly - Nice facilities in the building (gym, cafeteria, starbucks, break room)

Cons

- There is no proper training, different people will teach you different things and then management will tell you its wrong and when you ask how to actually do it they will say they don't know. - You can only make up $26-$30 an hour in this position even as a senior - Lots of micromanaging, they monitor your bathroom breaks - Inconveinient location, don't pay you enough to live nearby - Can't wfh if sick, have to take pto so people will literally come in sick to not waste PTO days - Required to come into office tues-thurs even though there is no collaboration they say you come in for networking but will talk to you if they see you chatting with people for more than 5 minutes even if its a question if you don't tell your manager first - no effective management skills: will not give you reasonings just will tell you to do things - terrible communication - don't care about employees, there is no "I'm done for the day" you constantly have things to do and things will be pilled on you and when you ask for help or guidance they will ask if you even want to work there anymore. - I put in a 2 week notice and they told me to pack up that day. - Manager consistently didn't spell things on email correctly, constantly made jokes about disabled people, not intelligent

Pros

You can work from home depending on the role, flexibility even.

Cons

First of all, you have to work hard for the bonuses. Training is not consistent, you have two people training. One person to train you overall on SAP and other scenarios, the other trainer is your account specific one. The account specific will show you how they want this account runned. THIS IS A CUSTOMER SERVICE based job, very high in customer service. The pay is low for this role and the work you do. You use excel and it’s all manual the report building. There is no harmonization in any of the programs Medline uses so you are the middle person, you are the one connecting the dots. (Red flag- big gap in their processes) This is a report based job and you’re doing multiple jobs for demand planning, sourcing, pricing and so on. You can’t take long vacations because nobody will be able to fully manage your account, you will come back to a bunch of pending emails. Also you work with sales reps and sometimes they would be emailing you at 4am!!!!

Pros

1. Good financial opportunity for reps who are willing to work hard and many hours. 2. Healthy inventory of Medline brand products which are pretty good and easy to sell. 3. Good place for younger, upwardly mobile employees to get job experience.

Cons

1. Company purposefully runs very lean that requires a 100% commissioned rep to take on many additional administrative tasks, taking time away from the core job of selling. 2. No work/life balance leading to high burnout rate. 3. High quotas wouldn't be so unachievable if #1 wasn't such a big problem. 4. Fear-based management style. 5. Rep is responsible for EVERY mistake the company makes; sometimes hitting your commissions to correct it.
