      Pros

      Private company, debt-free and growing every single year! In healthcare and working to improve patients' lives. You'll feel good working for a cause like that. Great family atmosphere, employees are very friendly and helpful, the pace is fast and the company is results-oriented. You can get a great deal of experience very quickly.

      Cons

      Would prefer being in the city of Chicago. Some of the policies are old school.

      If you're good you can have great career; posers cant hide alignment of pay with results employees given lot of responsibility early in career and learn fast no politics and flat org. can walk into exec offices any time lot of effort in recent years to improve work/life balance super fast paced very very very stable and growing great state of art gym six flags night

      Cons

      need to want to work in northern suburbs commute can be difficult in inclement weather need be comfortable with candid discussions not a lot of lunch spots but they do have subsidized nice cafeteria

      Pros

      High level of autonomy with little bureaucracy in this family owned company allows for the fastest customer response in medical surgical supplies. Great opportunities for aspiring leaders to grow their careers. More examples of people leaving the organization and coming back than the contrary (i.e. very low turnover).

      Cons

      Some areas of the company are better than others for committing to a positive work-life balance, but all are driven to improve our US healthcare system. Like any company there are good and bad managers; fortunately for Medline there are more leaders than managers guiding our company towards the future. Anyone can post to a website complaining about pay, and those who do probably don't deserve it. That being said you will work hard at Medline, but the monetary results of that hard work are above average. What other company in healthcare provides the opportunity for quarterly bonuses?
