Pros

Nothing is positive besides the salary

Cons

This company will try to wring you out for everything you are worth. The benefits are trash. The work culture is insanely toxic. People come into work sick all the time (likely against their will). You get 5 sick days for a whole year. They couldn’t care less if something happens to you or your family — just when you’re gonna be able to get back to work (and it better be right away according to them!). I even got a text on the day a close family member died (which they had been informed about previously), asking me if I had my laptop so I could do work that day. Even if you’re an employee who has bent over backwards and put your all in, and delivered time and time again, they have no interest in doing anything to keep you around. All of the project managers I got hired with (now including myself), have quit within ~a year of hire. WFH in some functional areas is a lie and gets denied within your allowance often. This place is insanely adverse to the idea of innovation too. They have no interest in hearing any ideas you may have for improvement.

We are saddened by your view of Medpace and taken aback by your comments. We strive to ensure our employees have a comfortable, collaborative work environment. Our associates are the heartbeat of this company, and we strive to make them feel heard and valued. We promote a culture focused on positivity, collaboration, and flexibility. In regard to benefits, we offer various plans based on employee needs, and we consistently review our benefits each year to be sure we are meeting associate expectations and remaining aligned with the market. Medpace does not tolerate any behavior that creates a toxic work environment. As we encourage all employees to escalate any of these very serious concerns to a manager and Human Resources for immediate investigation and resolution, we invite you to contact our Cincinnati Human Resources Department to discuss your concerns further.

Pros

-Supportive management structure -Good pay/merit/promotion incentive assuming you are meeting your performance expectations -Reputable training program

Cons

-Immediately resourced with a full workload after training completion. Although, the workload becomes very manageable over time. -Average health and paid leave benefits I really have no other complaints, I overall have been treated very fairly.

Pros

The functional team leaders work together well and there is a collegial, can-do attitude. I love my colleagues. Managers are experienced and professional. Support staff (a lot of new hires without clinical development experience) are enthusiastic and eager to learn. The computer systems are easy to use compared to other large CROs.

Cons

Medpace requires a non-compete clause that restricts working for another CRO for 1 year after leaving, either by your choice or if you’re let go. This is also severely limiting to growth options within Medpace. There is no clear structure for 360 review of line managers and team members and annual reviews are loosely managed and subjective. It’s really hard to get better than “meets expectations” - and this impacts pay and bonuses.

Thank you for the feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoy working with your Regulatory Submissions team. In regards to our Proprietary Rights Agreement, the non-compete agreement portion is a very common practice in competitive industries, such as ours. Medpace notifies all candidates who interview of our employment contract prior to offering a position. This allows each candidate to evaluate if the non-compete agreement is something they feel comfortable with prior to joining the organization. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
