Toxic environment

Pros

Free salad. Great co-workers. Restrooms are private.

Cons

Extremely toxic and political environment. Upper IT management and execs might as well not exist. Lab software is horribly outdated and it is the only place I have worked where pushback on implementing new tech and improving current applications is the norm. Expect legacy ASP.Net pages and ravioli code to also be the norm. Did I mention toxic environment? It is bred here due to the only way you really get ahead is tenure and moves to management. Management style for the lab dev group is highly confrontational, unstable and biased. Expect favorites to be played constantly. Director would regularly yell at and berate co-workers. The CEO is cocky and does not care about his employees.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear you have a negative view of Medpace. We strive to make Medpace an organization where employees have unlimited opportunities to advance and take on more responsibility in the company. You are correct that employees advance here by making moves into management roles and that this tends to come with experience. We pride ourselves on offering opportunities to promote employees from within. We acknowledge that as a company, we do have high standards and expect a lot of our employees. We are extremely excited about the growth we’ve seen over the last few years, and have plans in place to ensure our organization can keep up with the growth and continue to be successful, while still ensuring our employees enjoy the work environment we have created. We also acknowledge that Medpace is not a fit for everyone, and we are okay with that. Every employee has different needs, and it is unrealistic to think we can meet all of them. However, we are taken back by your comments about management and encourage all employees to come to HR with these issues. We do not promote or accept a toxic environment and need to know if a problem exists in order to fix it. We are sorry that Medpace wasn’t a good fit for you, but thank you for your feedback.
