Pros

Strong company, great products, good training, great people to work with, great benefits, a true leader in the industry, customer driven.

Cons

Pay is at the low end, takes awhile to move up in the company, not very much feedback, upper management does not take the time to understand what is going on and who is standing out as hard workers.

Pros

Benefits, one of the largest employers in Sonoma County, employees are easy to get along with, easy commute within Santa Rosa.

Cons

Culture - Management identifies "high potential" employees and focuses most of their reward and incentive programs on this 3% employee base. No real development potential for you if you do not fit into this 3% base. Management has a "live to work" mentality and fails to recognize that many employees who "work to live" do add value to the company overall. Gone are the days when you can accept a position and adhere strictly to your job description. If you fail to go "above and beyond" that job description, you will most likely be part of their next wave of layoffs. They do not recognize a good, stable employee as valuable.

Pros

Corporate mission, products that enhance lives, good reputation, co-workers. Peers are supportive in helping address problems and sharing knowledge and experience. Flexible work hours.

Cons

Seeming "good ol' boy" mentality with middle management; difficult to navigate career growth via upward mobility or cross-transfer between business units . . . incongruent with what is preached by management. Some management seem very false/disingenuous in persona and in interaction with direct reports. HR is as useful as HS guidance counselors relative to career advice. Risk averse; innovation by acquisition. Cumbersome policies to drive objectives and product development.
