Shift responsibilities are often unrealistic when paired with helping customers. Those closing certain areas/departments are still required to help customers all the up until the moment of clock-out-even if everything has been completely shut down and cleaned for the night, and consequences are dealt out for working beyond your scheduled shift time. I often had to skip my break in order to get everything done in time and then I still had to skip a few steps sometimes. Lack of organization for shift and break coverage. Often had to still help customers even though it was my scheduled break and I was clocked out.

Almost as trashy as Walmart hires ton of part time employees to avoid giving employee benefits. Meijer employs a lot of people but don't give out hours. Try home depot or something. At Meijer and Walmart they hire lots of part time employees who don't care cause their not making much and getting garbage benefits so shelves are empty.
