Very poor management on all levels. No one seems to know what they are doing, or else they just don't care. Company is no longer family oriented, it is just out for all the profit it can make for the Meijer family. Seems like once a company founder passes away ( like Mr. Walton, Mr. Kressge, and Mr. Meijer) all the children want is money and to heck with the employees. My guess is the millions that were left to them was not enough now they have to have billions.

No training, put on a register without being told what to do, store didn't put me in the system so I couldn't use the register under my name, I had to use some other girls account. Was told about 2 ways to view schedule. 1) online 2) in store. I had a shift from 2pm-8pm and I was called at 12:40pm saying I was late for my 10am shift, and that I will not need to come in and will be let go because I had screwed up and didn't look at the tight schedule. No one ever told me I am not supposed to look at the schedule in the store and not the online one. Meijer fired me over something that was their fault and didn't pay me for the 3 days I worked. Will never shop or work here again.
