Pros

Good team members at this location. It's retail not rocket science. It's a job. Other than that look out below.

Cons

It's retail. You get paid minimum wage to do about 3 people's jobs. You work in the photo lab/electronics? Go up on lane and check out customers cause 3 of our cashiers called off and on your way back to your department condition toys, card and party, the magazines, stationery, crafts, and sporting goods and start pulling carts for HBC (The complete opposite end of the store). You're on restrictions from being pregnant and you have a note from your doctor? Go and pull a skid full of 40 pound bags of fertilizer to the seasonal pad and stock it out, I did it when I was pregnant why can't you? This is coming from leadership. Whose sole job is to "Bring out the best in their team." That's a quote from Mr. Fred Meijer. Moral is normally low unless certain people in leadership are on vacation. Familyness (Yes this is one of their Core Values at Meijer)? Yeah they will treat like family...that's completely indebted to them. They proclaim they will help you and work around your schedule. Wrong. I personally have lost a second part time job because of this place and they refuse to work with me. Stating that this is my main job and I should be worried about only that. My duties didn't slip, my schedule did. I couldn't work here one day so I could work opening at this other place. Never work this day ever until I told them about my second job. They kept scheduling me on that one day so I lost it. You can submit a form that states what you can and can't work, and that doesn't work. I'm full time and even if you're part time and say you have another job, management doesn't care, Lines Leaders don't care, Store Director doesn't care. You are nothing to them. Easily replaced.

Pros

the red shirts you work with, maybe once in a while you get a good blue shirt but they don't stay,

Cons

Bad management, rude to employees, low low pay ,,No training company and blue shirts do not care about YOU If you get a blue shirt that is good, or store director that is good, THE higher ups get rid of them fast, They don't care about you they are soooooooooooo FAKE
