Pros

Everything is very bad....nothing positive.

Cons

Very poor management, very poor job interviews, they don't offer what they promise, no communication, rudeness, closed-minded, no respect for employees, team leaders and higher management don't care and they are having a sick, bored look on their face when you need help or what to ask something or you want to communicate with them, dirty environment, lack of organization, job tasks favoritism, job position favoritism, horrible work schedules, very low pay, no bonuses...outdated systems, tools, ways of working and functioning as a company.

Pros

It’s okay for a first job Raises based on how many hours worked Flexibility in hours Willing to cross train

Cons

The MANAGEMENT. I was doing the work of a manager and getting paid for a regular team member. My manager would sit on her butt all day while I was on the floor doing the work. Very difficult to move up the ladder unless you were a butt kisser. Very political and a lot of favoritism. I would have left sooner if it weren’t my first job. I only stayed because I didn’t know any better. Get out while you can, meijer is a terrible company to work for.

Pros

New buildings New work facilities New aged atmosphere Competitive compensation Competitive benefits for full time corporate employees

Cons

Non-transparent management team Advancements are based on "being liked" and following directions, rather than performance, initiative, or originality of ideas. Often left at the end of the day feeling defeated from being verbally told to remain silent in meetings
