Pros

Two paid 15 minute breaks throughout shift.

Cons

Hard work for little pay, the company wants to own you for minimum wage, lazy and power hungry managers, dirty work environment, unpaid lunch, can't be 3 minutes late for work or else you get in trouble, little discount on food, can't take home food that they just throw in the trash anyway, can't drink anything but water, Meijers does NOT care about their minimum wage employees.

Pros

-Relatively easy job. -Paid weekly. -Keep your head down and do your job and you'll survive. -Works with school schedules. -Long hire process but they'll hire anything with a heartbeat.

Cons

-Crazy points system. Late 4 SECONDS? .5 pt Late 2hrs? .5 pt -Ridiculously long interview process for a min wage job. -Used to be about family values now it's just money motivated. -Management treats employees horrible...more than once did I hear someone be told "you're easily replaced" -if you do your job you'll be TOLD to do the slackers jobs too -Rarely allows those who want to move up, do so. They choose the person whether that person wants to or not.

Pros

The people you work with. Period. Seeing your fellow coworkers will be the only highlight of your day.

Cons

Ahhh... the customers are rude and impatient. Probably because there are unhappy and very slow cashiers on the two lanes that are open. They call people from the floor to "support" by using them as cashiers. But on a very busy day, this causes several problems because the customers no longer have anyone to help them on the floor. Mgmt is tired and lazy. They sit in the office all day playing friends with words while delegating useless tasks to their most hard working employees. They schedule you outside of your availability and then write you up when you cannot accommodate the hours given.
