Pros

I thoroughly enjoy the culture of hard work and excellence that I consistently encounter throughout every department within Melaleuca. There exists strong resolve to live the company’s mission statement of enhancing lives. This is a company that is constantly planning ahead and is financially secure and responsible, which offers me comfort when considering my job security. I have had wonderful coworkers and even better managers/supervisors throughout my career. I truly enjoy going to work!

Cons

Melaleuca hires only the best, but with that comes great demand and extremely high expectations. It is a company that does much with little. With that in mind, though employees have standard job responsibilities, it is expected that an individual will assist where needed. If you are one who lacks initiative and has difficulty learning quickly, you will struggle in this environment.

Pros

There is lots of good to say about working for Melaleuca. I've worked here for many years, and I have always had great coworkers and supervisors—that means a lot! The Idaho Falls community/area is a wonderful place to live and work and raise a family. Melaleuca has very good benefits for the area (besides insurance, they provide an allowance for company products every month, good 401k, longevity bonuses, and more). One thing sometimes taken for granted is Melaleuca's long-term stability and reliability—I value the stability of the company and my job. I believe their salaries are generally competitive for the area (but may seem low for other markets). And there are a lot of different career paths and opportunities (depending on what you do).

Cons

Being highly productive also means there are a lot of tight timelines to get things done. Along with tight deadlines come a lot of last-minute changes and job requests. People here really do amazing work with the resources, but it would be nice to have a little more bandwidth to do even better work. The global headquarters is a great building, but distance from town can be challenging for lunches, shopping, and errands. Career path and upward movement in the company vary a lot based on your position (but that's not too surprising).
