Driven high performers need not apply

Pros

There are a few great people to work with.

Cons

Compensation is not enough to support a family in South East Idaho. Cost of living has increased much more than compensation, which was already below average before. High performers are not compensated differently than the company's lowest performers. There is a large amount of employee's who have stayed for 15+ years despite below average pay because they know they can get by doing almost nothing every day. These people make more than a new hire who wants to drive extraordinary value.

Pros

Clean work environment Great coworkers Great restaurant and gym on-campus Family-friendly activities throughout the year

Cons

Heavily restrictive PTO policies Unclear paths to promotion (when they "feel you're ready") Expectation to work more than 40 hours without compensation Overreach and abuse of established systems by sitting leadership Dismissal of personal circumstance Few other large-employer options in the area make it easy to retain employees without striving for excellence in the corporate setting Business revenue increases benefit the front-facing marketing executives

Pros

- side benefits are okay - it is a median sort of job - I personally have some freedom do to personal professional development on the clock when there is no immediate need for my work (happens very little) - People half listen once they know you have been at Melaleuca after about 5 years

Cons

- No management that knows what they are doing - Not very customer-focused - Don't seek to fulfill their strategic imperatives or strategies or mission - Very hard for people to listen to you because you're new - They don't have a lot of integrity - Very slow to solve problems - Don't worry about making improvements in processes or tools we use - Slow AI usage and no proficiency in AI usage, strategies or implementation - Managers micromanage because Melaleuca is "unique" - Most of the positive things they tout all the time serves only the company's image, not the employees - Don't worry about giving raises in a timely manner - Not goal-oriented employer And I could probably keep going, but will stop here.
