Pros

Melaleuca is an exceptional employment opportunity, especially in Idaho. I was amazed to find a billion dollar global company based out of Idaho Falls. The company is well run and offers many perks and benefits for its employees. The company excels at providing customer service and really emphasizes its mission statement to enhance the lives of its customers and Marketing Executives, and the employees and community as well. There is not any other company in Idaho that provides the kind of benefits that Melaleuca does, such as health care, 401k matching, employee fitness support, and other benefits--the company competes at a national level on these standards. Melaleuca values hard work, intelligence and drive, and will reward those who bring these characteristics to their work. There is a great camaraderie among the employees and the company lacks a lot of the political infighting that can be common in other corporate environments. The founding CEO, who is still leading the company 30 years later, instills a strong corporate work ethic and really believes the time tested values of hard work, staying out of debt and setting and achieving goals. It is a breath of fresh air in a corporate environment that at many other companies can become cynical and detached. Melaleuca's CEO is hands-on and involved in many aspects of the company and teaches correct business principles so that the company stays on track and moves forward. The company has had consistent growth for more than 30 years now. That is not an accident. The company is well led and without any debt, employees can rest assured that they will not face layoffs due to short-term economic downturns. Melaleuca rewards loyalty and annually pays out millions of dollars in bonuses to employees who have worked to build the company's success over the years. Bottom line is this is a great place to work and if you are smart enough to land a job here, you should feel comfortable in making this place your home.

Cons

You have to be sharp and enjoy challenging work to excel at the company.
