Pros

I never thought I would find a job where I actually enjoy coming to work. There is nothing like enjoying what you do for a living. You spend majority of your life with your co-workers and I love ever bit of my time I here at Melissa & Doug. You are constantly busy building great relationships with their awesome clientele who at times are a riot themselves. You have better understanding of the interview process once you start working here and seeing the dynamic they have created to ensure that you as well as your co workers enjoy coming to work. Melissa and Doug are some of the most humble bosses I have ever had in my life and I have had some pretty big Forbes list worthy bosses. They treat every employee as if you are their only employee and truly have a passion for what they do. I am very disturbed by the inaccuracies of this website you are hired for you the person not the degree you hold, the college you attended or even the accomplishments you have made. If you are a down to earth awesome person then they want you. There are no smoke and mirrors in this company you get what you see.

Pros

GREAT training program (one of the best)- similar to a "Sales Boot Camp" - no work outside of work (when the day ends, you are free after work and on weekends) - great Entry Level place to work and learn about sales, then move on cause you'll never have a career here (this is only a JOB).

Cons

Long hours, NO raises, bonuses, or commission, extreme micro-managing, big brother is ALWAYS watching, NO upward mobility within the company and ZERO career advancement, way too much office politics, constant employee bullying from management and co-workers, employees attacking other employees (watch your back and front) - people will attack you with a smile - No professional growth (no opportunities for learning new skills) - Everyone becomes extremely complacent after 2 years.
