      Pros

      Great new grad residency program. Health insurance is much cheaper for a family than my husband's employer. Great shift and weekend differentials.

      Cons

      It's still all about who you know and not necessarily about merit when it comes to raises or recognition, but that is everywhere.

      Pros

      Great location, great opportunity to grow, always moving forward with technology, great doctors, great staff, Trauma level 1 center and the coolest part has life flight program.

      Cons

      Benefits are expensive and coverage is not that great. Considering this health plan is Memorial Hermann's own program, coverage is expensive

      Pros

      Memorial Hermann is a reputable healthcare system, one of the largest in the nation. There is a lot of brand recognition associated with the system and the employees tend to be top notch, especially at the flagship location in the Houston medical center. The benefits are good and the culture within the company is sought after by other healthcare systems.

      Cons

      Staffing can be an issue at some of the smaller community hospitals within the system. Due to the staffing issues, there seems to be a trickle down effect that can be seen in terms of employee satisfaction ratings and burnout levels among clinicians. If you are placed in a department that is well staffed and managed, the cons that I see within my hospital shouldn't apply to you.
