Pros

Great training, young culture in the offices. Opportunity to learn on the job.

Cons

Where do I start. Glorified telemarketing job. You have a quota of 100 cold calls minimum a day spread out over and AM and PM blitz. Your manager will randomly listen to your calls live without any warning, the client you are assigned determines the large majority of your ability to hit quota. You can get stuck with a bad company with a poor product, and no matter how good you are at your job you will not hit unrealistic quotas. Your managers are being pressured by the managing directors, so be prepared to get fired if you get a bad luck of the draw on a client. Also HORRIBLE pay, don't get fooled, you will make 40k a year to cold call. Also no work life balance. The company got a sued for not paying overtime to employees.

Pros

All else aside, MB guided me toward developing my abilities as a tech salesman. I say guided because, aside from the initial 1-week training (which MB charges, yes, that's right - charges you about $2000 for), I mostly learned from my co-workers and free internet resources.

Cons

The pay at MB is a little bit too low, even for a basic entry-level position like tech SDR. That's because; A) It is headquarted in McLean, VA where the average household income is in excess of $220,000. B) The workday begins an hour earlier than just about every office job ever C) The quotas are stiff, and YOU WILL HAVE TO GRIND, no matter how slick your cold call sales skills are. I've heard the atmosphere is too disorganized and invocative of 'bro-culture' from a few of my peers during my time. I'd slightly agree, but it didn't bother me too much. There is no diversity amongst the leadership, and generally I feel (but cannot say factually) diversity feels mediocre. I'd say most employees are white males from an upper-middleclass suburban background.
