Pros

Decent pay for a job that requires no experience. The incentives for yearly bonuses depending on amount of hours worked per year are nice and accumulate over the years, which is a reason why so many people may continue a career with Menards.

Cons

Low pay, and work is extremely tedious, yet routine and simple. Management is always breathing down your neck, even for remedial work. Corporate policies are frustrating at best, and they play the same terrible 80's feel-good/family-adhering playlist over and over and over. Other than that, not a bad gig for when you are between dates of career employment.

Pros

Extra pay for weekends, forklift license, and holidays. Fun coworkers and friendly environment. The hours are easily negotiable and management can usually work with you if you need time off or extra hours.

Cons

One of the biggest cons is the lack of organization in different parts of the store. This is currently being fixed in many stores with remodels, but only time will tell if it really helps. Another con is the lack of technology in the workplace. Handheld computers, smartphones, or radios could all help employees find items instantly, but they are not available to most workers.
