Retail Managment looking in

Pros

The job is really not that hard. The pay is hourly and usually managers are encouraged to work more than scheduled as long as payroll allows. Profit sharing. Various bonuses.

Cons

Outside of the store, there is very little interaction with any other employee at the General Office, almost as if its frowned upon. Communication can be complex dealing with multiple people and personalities. Though the job is easy, many times multiple things are expected with very little time or consideration for the feat. All stores, regardless of income, are treated with the same tasks and same time period for completion.

Pros

Good people, opportunity to move up quickly with relocation, chance for bonuses, good informative self paced training programs for employees

Cons

The hours were long, pay was barely average, the corporate office is Big Brother, some business practices were close to shady.
