Pros

It's a friendly environment to work in. There's also room to move up. Management is always willing to help.

Cons

The hours won't give much of a balance with your social life, and if you become a manager don't expect to get many hours. In short if you're a manager you will be sent home early often and if you're not expect long days.

Pros

Good work environment. High potential to move up

Cons

Work a lot of hours as a manager. Difficult to obtain full time status. You must move around if you are a manager

Pros

They allowed some flexibility in hours. They pay everyone an extra $2.50 when you work weekends, which cut down on the teen workers leaving us shorthanded. If you do your job well, they will promote you. The main office would often mail little gifts to the employees for the holidays, such as a little Menards toy truck for my son to play with, or a nice little Menards sewing kit. Small but handy, and very thoughtful.

Cons

Have to stand most of the time. They often had the young men doing much harder physical work (lifting heavy equipment, etc.) than the girl cashiers, but we got the same pay.
