Pros

Hourly rate is decent. Great place to work for a poor or mediocre employee.

Cons

Overall Benefits package is horrible. No incentive for hardworkers, pay increases are based on tenure not job performance.

Pros

Wide array of work experience, many responsibilities, will build a solid work ethic in you. Advancement opportunities if willing to relocate at the drop of a hat. Many different people to work with. Learn about many common products, how to care for things with your house.

Cons

Promotion opportunities - may ask you to move out of the state. At-will employee. Can be fired/ demoted for unreasonable reasons. You are at the mercy of the General Manager/ or your manager. Customers easily get upset with you/ Menards. Retail hours. There is no one to replace a manager - if a manager doesn't show up or is on vacation, then another manager must cover all the hours. The corporate office will make new rules on a regular basis - some of which have no apparent value to Menards, but will upset some employees.
