Pros

Decent Pay, YOU GET HOURS even if you dont want to work a 30 hour week.

Cons

your a slave, your scheduled to work till 10pm you end up going home at 12am. You have to help the other departments, since they get to go home on time. All returned stuff must be placed back on shelfs and your expected to do this with no lights on. They spy on you with the cameras and write you up for every mistake or accident.

Pros

The people are usually really nice; angry customers are fairly rare. There isn't a lot of paperwork. Pay is really good if you don't have a college degree and advancement is really easy and there is ample opportunity within the company. The company is growing and the owner buys employees birthday and holiday gifts.

Cons

If you have a college degree chances are that you can make more elsewhere. Advancement usually isn't that large of a pay increase but involves moving where the opportunity is... which can be states away. Manager bonuses are based on making payroll to sales which can be tricky for smaller departments and on meeting an inventory audit which can be messed up by something as small as someone having the item in their cart at the time of audit.
