Pros

Many pros to consider the top is the opportunity to work with an amazing group of individuals ranging from management to hourly employees. I was impressed with gaining two raises within my first few months. Safety is a huge concern that everyone works on as a team such as the equipment check ins including the forklifts. Extra pay on the weekends and profit sharing. Working on the receiving team in Rapid City has been my most enjoyable job so far.

Cons

The only factor I believe could be improved on would be communication between shifts.

Pros

The only benefit to working at Menards is the profit sharing bonus check that they give the team members if they work 1,000+ hours.

Cons

Management is rude, unhelpful, and makes every other employee stressed on a daily basis. The guests that shop at Menards are extremely rude and not afraid to voice their opinion at you. I have never seen such disrespect in any other store, as I have from the customers at Menards.

Pros

Decent starting pay. $10.50/hr +2.50 on weekends. Paid weekly. Benefits for full time employees. Yearly bonuses after 1,000 hours is reached. Bonus % increases each your you've worked for the company. Lots of opportunities for advancement...Menards only hires from within the company, so you can only move up.

Cons

1) Not Flexible I'm a college student, I need to be able to work in the summers to help pay for school. I was told by my manager that I will be getting 20 hours max/week while going to school and 30+ during the summer. I got around 20 hours/week for the first 2 months. Summer came and now I work 8-12 hours a week. Not what I was told I would work during my interview.. and I specifically asked about the hours, which were the one and only deciding factor for me. After asking my manager if I could at least get fixed hours so I could try and work two jobs, he said I don't think I can do that for you. 2 )Zero Tolerance No matter the situation, if you're late.. you're late. Menards uses a point system for tardiness. Accumulate 10 points within 3 months and you're fired. No call no show = 5 points. Didn't know you worked? -No call no show. Work an AM shift and overslept more than an hour -No call no show. You could work for this company for 20 years and it wouldn't matter to them.
