Pros

The pay is decent at $8.40 (if I recall correctly) starting wage and an additional $2 an hour on the weekends. Somewhat flexible with hours.

Cons

They will regularly schedule you for 7 1/2 hour shifts so that they are not required to give you a lunch. If you are a cashier, you will be standing on concrete floors for hours on end doing mind numbingly monotonous tasks, with most likely two 10 minute breaks and an occasional 30 minute lunch if you work over eight hours. The clientele is predominantly white trash, senile seniors and unjustifiably angry contractors. I suppose that's to be expected from a hardware store, though.

Pros

Payroll isgood and i get all the hours i need. Day goes fairly fast when working there, except in the winter when no one wants to buy home improvement supplies and the garden center is closed.

Cons

Dirty and jobs gets boring fast. People are rude and there is a lot that is expected of you with little training
