- Time Off Culture: PTO is accrued but often discouraged in practice. There is a noticeable culture of guilt-tripping employees for taking time off, even for valid reasons. Planning in advance is crucial.
- Lack of Sick Leave Flexibility: The approach to sick time lacks empathy. There’s an expectation to work through illness, which contributes to an unhealthy workplace culture. Prioritizing wellness should not be seen as a lack of commitment.
- High Turnover and Retention Issues: A pattern of hiring younger talent followed by disengagement due to generational assumptions is concerning.
- 1:1 Meetings: These can be counterproductive. In some cases, information shared in good faith has reportedly been used inappropriately, leading to a breakdown in trust.
- LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOR: There have been instances of leadership displaying unprofessional behavior, including raised voices and patronizing conduct. All employees deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of position or gender.
- Post Employment Conduct: An attempt was made to interfere with my VOE upon departure, which was low and pointless. There has been an ongoing sense of being monitored through professional channels, such as Linkedin, even after my departure.
